Acrylics practice

Greetings. My name is Shawn.
At age 13, I feel that painting is one of my more sane hobbies. I was not a painter my whole life. I didn't start at a young age, or take early classes. My "career" began not so long ago. I'd say no more than a year and a half or so. I started with little cartoony critters as presents for littler people. Then, in a prime stage within the aquarium hobby, I decided, hey, what the heck, I think I might just paint a fish. So I did. Now this wasn't some crazy thing that everyone looked at and said "Damn, that kid was born to paint." I just painted a fish. The point is, you don't need to start at age 5. You don't need to take private classes or be mentored by a professional artist. You just need to start small and expand. I am still learning. I make mistakes: so much so that I believe I've trashed or ignored at least 10 canvases. Just do it.
